Pratello (Est. 1867) is one of the territory's historic producers. Vincenzo Bertola brings passion and care for the environment to his work. Today he's flanked by the fifth generation of family, his sons Naike and Nathan, who've created a new brand called Opera Roses, drawing on 7.5 hectares of the family's 80-hectare estate. The project, the only of its kind in Italy, is dedicated entirely to rosé, in this case Chiaretto della Valtènesi, obviously. And the Bertola family offer four types of Chiaretto. The Opera '21 and the Rocco '20 are simply two of the best wines in the appellation. Striking whiffs of chalk characterize the San Martino Ottocento, a wine that opens on sweet sensations and highly pleasant tones of ripe, yellow fruit in the mouth, a combination that lends dynamism and pleasantness to the palate. We also appreciated the taut, sapid, clear Garda Riesling, which goes all in on acidity.
