I Ronchi are plots of land about a hectare or slightly larger, surrounded by lush woodland vegetation. This characteristic gives its name to the winery, which began to flourish in the mid-1970s on the hills of the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines. It also lends its name to their wines, crafted from grapes like sangiovese, sauvignon blanc, and trebbiano, and processed in the cellar with traditional methods yet a modern entrepreneurial spirit. The estate is owned by brothers Aldo and Paolo Rametta, who in 2020 poured their passion and labor into the property, contributing to the wine-making renaissance of an area that, until a few years ago, was nearly absent from the high-quality wine scene. The Buco del Prete di Castelluccio '20 (previously tasted last year) once again confirms its excellence, offering a variety of fruity aromas on the nose, especially cherry and blackberry, alongside fresh sensations of thyme and mint. On the palate it opens firm, enlivened by balanced acidity and well-intertwined tannins. The More '22 reveals fruity and floral notes on the nose, while showcasing fullness and vigor on the palate. The Lunaria '22 is also delightful.
