Established in 1975, Borgo Conventi owes its name to a local legend. It's said that a regional feudal lord gifted a parcel of land to a group of Dominican fathers, who then built a convent there. Currently under the ownership of the Moretti Polegato family, the estate is a true jewel with a glorious history. It is presently enjoying a period of acclaim, leveraging the international market visibility of Villa Sandi. The estate also holds the distinguished "Biodiversity Friend" certification, granted to producers dedicated to sustainability and environmental preservation. In the last edition, we spoke about a sparkling debut for the producer's new blend, which certainly boded well. This year, the Collio Bianco Luna di Ponca '20 did it again, earning our Tre Bicchieri. As in a sophisticated cocktail, the varietal characteristics of chardonnay, tocai friulano, and malvasia istriana converge, presenting a pervasive aromatic expression of rare elegance.
