Teruzzi

Description

Founded over 40 years ago, Teruzzi is one of San Gimignano's historic wineries. Starting with three hectares of vineyards purchased by Enrico Teruzzi in 1974, it has now expanded to 96 hectares, 62 of which are dedicated to vernaccia, making it the world's largest single cultivator of the grape. The estate also hosts other local varieties, like sangiovese, colorino, trebbiano, and international grapes (cabernet sauvignon and chardonnay).Since 2016, the winery has been part of the Terra Moretti group. The Vernaccia Sant'Elena Riserva '19 is truly delicious, delivering a sapid and vibrant palate that plays on citrusy notes, culminating in a lengthy finish on tropical fruit and spice. The Vernaccia Isola Bianca '22 possesses a more linear profile, its finish resolving just a tad short. The Terre di Tufi '22 reveals lovely consistency and weight on the palate, supple and round with persistent sweet spicy nuances.
