For more than 120 years, the Tommasi family has devoted themselves to viticulture, with generation after generation taking the helm of a venture that has evolved into one of Italy's most important producers. Today, Pierangelo leads, aided by his brothers and cousins, overseeing a vast estate that focuses primarily on the wines of Valpolicella. Their formidable set of vineyards includes treasured spots like Groletta, Conca d'Oro, and Ca' Florian. The Lugana Le Fornaci Riserva '20 put in a superb performance. Made with grapes from the oldest vines, it offers up delicate aromas, with white pulp fruit gradually gaining space alongside floral and smoky notes. The palate proves crisp, juicy, and very harmonious. The Amarone Ca' Florian '15 is a rich and powerful wine, while the Valpolicella De Buris '17 convinces on its first release, a drink of substance and depth.
