As often happens in the world of agriculture, Tonello's journey is intertwined with the history of a family who started by farming for their own private consumption. Gradually that work became something something grander, opening the way to future opportunities. Today Diletta, together with her father Antonio, oversee a family business that's one of the most intriguing producers of durello and lessinia, with a special focus on Metodo Classico. And the most interesting results come precisely from their Lessinia sparklers, with Io Teti '19 and Io Aura '17 taking the spotlight. The former reveals aromas of white fruit that stand out on a classic, mineral background, which is even more pronounced on its sapid, spirited palate. The latter, due to a longer stay on the lees, offers more complex and layered aromas that develop into a rich palate, with nice consistency and acidic tension. The Io Eos '21 also deserves a special mention.
