VINEYARD | We are in the easternmost corner of Liguria, the Colli di Luni, the vineyards look out over the Gulf of La Spezia, protected behind by the peaks of the Apuan Alps. The position is quite unique, between sea and mountain breezes: this is the kingdom of Vermentino, a variety that feels the sea like few others. The plots are small patches of land, for this selection ideated to offer a white wine with a long evolutionary potential are used the grapes from the oldest vineyards and with the best exposure, which mostly insist on soils rich in skeleton over layers of clay.
PEOPLE | Since four generations the Bosoni family is at the head of this winery, undoubtedly one of the most structured and consolidated in the region. Today we find the volcanic Paolo and his son Diego, who combines the passion for wine with the one for music: coppola, bass and the air of a dreamer. Let's take a look from their production manifesto: "We want the encounter between knowledge and sensitivity. Because we know that nothing in nature is a 'planning', that wine is not a chemical formula, or a segment of 'marketing'. But the fruit of complicity, interpretation, tradition. Of an oral culture matured by experience. A constant balanced relationship with nature, a respect for it that is gratitude.
WINE | The sea and summer are matching in the glass. The bright golden colors are an anticipation of ripe peach and apricot tones, boosted by a breath of chamomile and acacia. The aromas are clean and intense, punctuated by sensations of Mediterranean herbs, especially basil and sage, which we find in a mouth to say the least juicy, concentrated fruit and savory sensations. The progression is rich and well modulated, the wine combines warmth and aromatic ampleness as well as freshness and crispness. The finish is long, with a delicate hint of almond and ginger.
